Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the Wisprr website and the currently distributed Wisprr application for Windows 10 and Windows 11. It does not describe hypothetical mobile or macOS products.

Wisprr is developed by Sohail, also known as Tony Stacks. Groq is a separate service provider with its own account, technical documentation, privacy terms, retention policies, pricing, quotas, and service limits.

If you submit the contact form, Wisprr receives the name, email address, subject, message, and basic submission source included in the request. The message is sent through the Resend email service to the configured Wisprr support mailbox.

The website hosting provider may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser details, requested URL, timestamps, and security logs. Wisprr does not use this policy to promise that infrastructure providers collect no logs.

Wisprr captures microphone audio when you start dictation. To transcribe, the application sends audio to Groq using the API key you provide. Internet access is required for this processing.

The application is designed to keep settings, transcript history, and Notes on the user's Windows device. Device backups, disk access, malware, operating-system accounts, and deletion of local files remain under the user's control.

Your relationship with Groq is direct because you create and supply the API key. Groq's current legal terms and product documentation govern provider-side processing, retention, security, availability, quotas, and charges.

Wisprr does not claim through this website that Groq immediately deletes every audio request or provides zero retention. Review Groq's current policies before using Wisprr with confidential, regulated, medical, legal, financial, employment, or client information.

The website repository does not include the separate desktop source code, so this policy does not make an independently audited claim about the exact API-key storage mechanism in each desktop build. Protect your Windows account and rotate the key if you believe it has been exposed.

Contact information is used to answer support requests, investigate bug reports, and respond to product feedback. Audio and text sent to Groq are used to perform the transcription or optional text-transform request initiated by the user.

Wisprr does not sell contact-form submissions. Information may be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service, or to the processors needed to deliver the requested function.

Groq processes speech-to-text and optional AI requests submitted through the user's Groq account. Resend processes website contact-form email delivery. The hosting provider processes website traffic needed to serve and secure the site.

Links to third-party sites open services controlled by those parties. Their privacy practices are not controlled by Wisprr.

Local Wisprr data remains on the Windows device until the user deletes it, uninstalls the application, removes related files, or a configured backup retains a copy. Exact behavior may vary by build and backup configuration.

Support messages may be retained in the configured mailbox and email provider for as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain support history, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. Groq and infrastructure providers apply their own retention rules.

No system can guarantee absolute security. Use the official download page, compare the installer SHA-256 checksum, keep Windows updated, use disk encryption where appropriate, restrict device access, and protect the Groq API key.

Report suspected security or privacy issues through the contact page. Do not send secrets, API keys, passwords, private audio, or regulated data through the website contact form.

You can choose not to submit the contact form, remove local application data, stop using Wisprr, revoke or rotate the Groq API key, and contact Wisprr about support information associated with your email address.

Depending on your location, privacy law may provide additional access, correction, deletion, objection, or complaint rights. Identity verification may be required before a request is completed.

Wisprr is not directed to children under 13, and the website does not knowingly request personal information from children. A parent or guardian may contact Wisprr if they believe a child submitted information.

This policy may change as the product, providers, or laws change. Material updates will be published on this page with a revised date.
